Dogmersfield Parish Council Working together for Dogmersfield This is the web site for the Parish of Dogmersfield in rural Hampshire |
|
|
Despite being only three miles
from the busy town of Fleet in North East Hampshire, Dogmersfield is a small,
essentially rural community built around a village school, pub and church. The large village of Odiham to the
north west and the market town of Farnham to the south, together with Fleet,
provide all the basic needs of doctors’ surgeries, banks, secondary schools
and shops. The larger towns of Reading, Basingstoke and Guildford are within
a twenty mile radius of the village. The central part of the village is
built along Church Lane and Chatter Alley with a mixture of old and new
housing, some commercial garage premises, the school and the pub. There is a
small settlement adjacent to the A287 which is part of the parish and a few
scattered dwellings alongside the A287, in the hamlet of Ormersfield and at
the end of Spratts Hatch Lane. |
